V.I. Sailing School’s week long, live aboard sailing classes emphasizes safety, boat operation and longer term cruising considerations on a self contained, ocean going sailing catamaran.
Originating from their home port on St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., the Virgin Island Sailing School cruises through the Caribbean’s famed British Virgin Islands on their 47 foot Leopard Catamaran.). This luxury cruising yacht is the successor to the widely popular Leopard 45 (Cruising World Magazine’s former charter boat of the year) has a full galley, air conditioning, plenty of class room space, and each student (or couple) has their own private cabin with queen size bed, shower and head.
The one week live aboard classes, travel to a new anchorage or Caribbean islands everyday. Learning onboard allows you to immediately practice and apply each lesson. Afternoons and evenings are your time; snorkel, hike, sample local night-life, or just relax in you private cabin with a book.
You will master the ability to be your own captain.
